It is appears that Singapore Airlines (SIA) is flying in disposable protective masks on passenger flights. The masks appear to be from a Hong Kong company (HK Dayitong Limited), which strangely appears to be a mobile phone reseller. The flight is deduced to be coming from Hong Kong.
However, we cannot confidently assume that these masks are meant for Singapore. We have a related story where Beijing has extended support to Chinese nationals by sending masks to Singapore.
Based on submitted pictures, assuming the aircraft is a 777, it’s about 200,000 masks carried in the passenger seats. There can be more masks being stored in the cargo hold, which explains the loading of masks onto seats.
The personnel are wearing “SATS” high visibility gear, it is deduced that the shipment is in Singapore and suggested it was meant for Singapore. They were also unloading the items in the video.
During a time when airlines face an unprecedented challenge, where a massive workforce is made to take long no pay leave, Singapore Airlines continues to contribute to Singapore.
Kudos to Singapore Airlines for doing this national duty as such a tough time!
We are unable to confirm who do these stocks belong to.
